SKIP-A-PAYMENT SUCCESS IN 2006

SPOKANE , Wash. , 10 January 2007 – As the 2006 holiday season rolled through, the 10^th annual Progressions CU Credit Unions for Kids Skip-a-Payment promotion was again a huge success.  The annual promotion provides Progressions members with the opportunity of a one month loan extension in return for a minimum $10 donation to the local Children's Miracle Network.  This year, donations from Progressions members averaged $16.46. 

The loan extension allowed valued members to enjoy the benefits of not making a loan payment during the holidays and in return raised $5,135.00 for the Children’s Miracle Network.  This generous support continues to be a great accomplishment and benefit to our community.

Progressions Credit Union’s skip-a-payment promotion began in 1997 and has raised $43,835 in just 10 years.  Its popularity and success has grown so much that members begin to ask for it early each fall.  One hundred percent of the donations are distributed to local area hospitals through the Children’s Miracle Network to help the children in the greater Spokane community. 

CMN hospitals work to treat children with afflictions such as cancer, heart disease, cerebral palsy, AIDS, birth defects and accident victims.  With the support of members of Progressions Credit Union, CMN is able to help more of our area children; who may be yours, your neighbor’s or your friend’s.
